We are an independent, grassroots, crowdfunded advocacy group consisting of individuals who have come together to fight for freedom and democracy for Hong Kong.

SWHK members come from all walks of life and are united by a shared vision. Following the promulgation of the National Security Law in June 2020 by the Chinese Communist Party, we are one of the only few remaining grassroots organisation representing the voice of Hongkongers operating in the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union.

The HongKonger Community Center Foundation is a social hub for anyone from or interested in the culture of Hong Kong to connect and empower each other. It is a platform for preserving the Hongkonger identity, promoting the Cantonese language, helping Hongkongers integrate into American society, and enhancing their quality of life.The initial intent of organizing a Hongkonger Community Center was to connect recent Hongkong immigrants with long time Hongkong residents who live in the same area. By providing a gathering place which enriched with cultural, recreational, and interactive events, the center helps new and old Hong Kong immigrants and residents to connect. The center is also a place to share knowledge and information to help new immigrants to adapt quickly into American society. The establishment and success of the first Hongkonger Community Center in the San Francisco Bay Area in July 2022 encouraged other local Hongkonger organizations to start their own local HKCC. New HKCCs were set up in Maryland, Austin, Dallas, New York, Michigan, Chicago, Los Angeles in the United States and also Toronto in Canada within 6 months after the first HKCC was established.

HKDC is a Washington, D.C.-based nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 2019 by Hong Kongers amid the pro-democracy movement. We aim to foster a coherent and collaborative diasporic community in order to enrich the global dialogue about Hong Kong’s democratic development and human rights issues. Our work focuses on educational outreach, community empowerment, and policy advocacy.

Hong Kong Professional Network (HKPN) is a global professional networking community of shared values for Hongkongers (HKers) and persons who support freedom and democracy in Hong Kong.

As the first pro-democracy global yellow economic network, HKPN was started by pro-democracy HKers in the Washington DC area who saw the need for long term HKer communities in more areas of the US. The concept gradually evolved from a local group in DC to a larger network that serves to strengthen the community of HKers across the globe.

We strive to:
1. Connect the pro-democracy Hong Kong diaspora outside political settings.
2. Assist newly immigrated HKers to adapt to new countries.
3. Provide a platform to share or seek employment opportunities for students and professionals.
4. Strengthen the presence of pro-democracy HKers across the globe to serve as a voice for HKers.

HKPN also promotes professional and personal development through knowledge sharing activities. We hold workshops on topics such as the introduction of various industries, resume writing & interviewing skills, business software tutorial, and hobby exchange. All members are welcomed to participate.

While HKPN’s practical functions are non-political in nature, it was founded and is sustained by its participants’ shared values for freedom and democracy in Hong Kong. HKPN welcomes all individuals who are supportive of freedom and democracy in Hong Kong regardless of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status. HKPN is operated by volunteers and does not solicit donations or payment. HKPN is unaffiliated with any other groups unless explicitly stated.

Hong Kong Watch is a UK-based registered charity which researches and monitors threats to Hong Kong’s basic freedoms, the rule of law and autonomy as promised under the ‘one country, two systems’ principle which is enshrined in the Basic Law and the Sino-British Joint Declaration.

‍We work at the apex between politics, academia and the media to shape the international debate about Hong Kong.

‍We are in regular contact with senior diplomats, policy-makers and Parliamentarians in the UK, the US, the EU, Canada, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and beyond, to inform, advise and develop worldwide advocacy for Hong Kong’s freedoms, the rule of law and autonomy. We have developed excellent relationships with influential media outlets around the world, and work closely with respected academics to publish high-quality research.
